Havens Hospices Great Pier Swim

Saturday saw me down on Southend Seafront taking photos of 200 or so mad people as they swam 3.3km from Chalkwell Beach to Jubilee Beach via Southend Pier.  I shot the start as 4 waves of swimmers left the beach before hot footing it up the seafront to capture them all as they finished what was a pretty tough swim in a choppy sea.

I wasn’t aware that there was a seal swim for the children until later and I apologise for dashing of at the end however my parking ticket had expired so I had to go.  Fortunately Havens captured the seal swim so you can find photos of that over on their web page.

I have uploaded all my photos to a collection – just click on Formal Galleries – from where you can view, download, and purchased photos.  I retain copyright on all the photographs I have taken.

You can download low-resolution (1024px) watermarked photos for free for personal non commercial use only.  You are not permitted to remove the watermark.  You can also purchase un-watermarked high-resolution (3600px) images – also for personal use – from the collection for a very modest cost.  Half of the purchase cost will be donated to havens Hospices.

I have also uploaded lo-resolution watermarked photos to my photography Facebook page at www.facebook.com/noynek.

I provided a download PIN number to Havens for their use to download high resolution versions for their marketing and promotional purposes which it seems has been circulated in error on an email to those who took part.  I have since removed the need for a PIN and removed the ability to download hi-resolution images as some people have already purchased hi-res images in good faith.
