Sadlers Farm Junction Improvements

A few updated photos of the works at Sadlers Farm Junction near Benfleet in Essex.

Most of pics taken from Church Road bridge but some near the London Road Bridge which is now in use.

Works continue to construct the new Church Road Bridge with reinforced earth abutments being built around concrete piles that will hold up the new bridge deck.

Widening the carriageway continues on the A13 between Pitsea Flyover and Church Road Bridge.

Steel beams are now on Sadlers Farm Bridge and works to concrete the deck are well underway.

Excavators are also digging out under the new London Road Bridge and the temporary road diversion put in place to build the London Road Bridge will soon be dug out to complete the excavation for the strategic link.  I’m guessing a small amount of contig piling will be required first.

I have put an album of photos on my picasaweb photo sharing website here.
