Last Saturday afternoon the lad and I took ourselves up to the Lee Valley Velopark in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - aka the Olympic Velodrome or The Pringle - to watch the final evening session of the Revolution Series Round 5 track racing. It was a great experience. I'd not been inside the Olympic Velodrome before and have …
Kaiser Chiefs @ The O2 Greenwich
Kaiser Chiefs at the O2. Absolutely brilliant. Period. A band made for playing live with every song an anthem which you cannot help but sing along tom and a front man who cannot keep still and bounces around the stage from amp to crowd to stage left, right, front, back and out into the crowd …
Public Service Broadcasting @ The O2 Greenwich
Just a quick blog about seeing PSB on Friday last. We were at the O2 Greenwich (The Dome) to see Kaiser Chiefs in concert (review to follow) and I was really pleased to find out that Public Service Broadcasting were supporting along with Teleman (who we missed unfortunately). I've heard PSB a fair bit over …

Hadleigh Legacy 2012 10K Race
Once again I took my trust Nikon out yesterday into the cold and mud - but thankfully sunny - Essex countryside to photograph friends old and new as they ran around a muddy field or two. On this occasion it was the 3rd running of the Hadleigh Legacy 2012 10K race organised by Castle Point …
Backstage at The Barbican

They are two great candidates one male and one female doing equal roles on site and both are aiming to …
The Sky Garden @ 20 Fenchurch Street
This afternoon I had the great pleasure of ascending to the 35th floor of 20 Fenchurch Street aka The 'Walkie Talkie' building to marvel at the public Sky Garden and the views. My 1.5 hour booked slot commenced at 3.30pm and so I was able to see it in sunshine and to witness the sunset. …
Nikon DX vs FX lenses. What gives?
I'm confused. Last summer after much research and on recommendation on how good it was I purchased the Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 G AF-S VR IF-ED Lens to use on my Nikon D5200 camera. Now the camera is DX format (eg the smaller of the 2 sensors Nikon put in their cameras) and the lens is an …
2014 Photography
My photography has ramped up considerably in 2014 and much of it has been taking photos of local sporting events and primarily parkruns at various locations. Ive also been able to do some wildlife photography plus some odds and ends of concerts, landscape, art, and architecture. And I've not earned a single solitary sheckle for …
